Happy Holidays!

The holidays are wonderfull days for gifts! My sister and I usually give eachother a whole bunch of dvd's en we succeed to never buy the same one twice... Well, maybe we give eachother a little hint every now and then :D

This year not at all. We decided to once not give dvd's, but to go for the real surprises and unexpected gifts. Haha, my perfect challenge! I let myself go with my new Big Bite (which I got from friends for my birthday)!
So, for Christmas, I made the photoframe below. My grandparents and parents got a spot along mine. You have to flip the little squares at the left and right. Everybody liked it very much and meanwhile I've been asked to make such frame for somebody else. Mission accomplished!!! :D

Twin birthdays

Tomorrow's the birthday of twinbrothers. So: 2 grown-up men have to get a card. Challenge of

the month has arrived!

I chose basic paper, basic colours and basic decoration. Both cards are selfmade sketches, though the green one is simply an adaptation of a yet existing sketch. I hope they are liked!

WOJ B-day Challenge

For the WOJ Birthday Challenge I made the card below. I already know when to use it (the birthday of a good friend is coming up). It's the first time I used buttons (thanks to my mother's sewing kit!) and I think it gives the flowers a male touch.

Friends

Sometimes you have to let people around you know, you actually care about them. I admit I don't do that often enough myself, though I know I'm not always easy to cope with. That's why I made the cards below for 2 friends.
By the way, for the second card I used my brandnew cirkelcutter, eyelets and stamp (thanks Eef!).

Christmas is on it's way... soon

Zoals voorspeld: enkele kerstkaartjes. Het eerste kaartje maakte ik met mijn nieuw (goedkoop :p) papier. Ik wou deze keer eens voor een vernieuwend kaartje gaan. I.p.v. met de normale kleuren rood en groen te werken, ging ik radicaal voor het rood-roze. Moet kunnen, nietwaar?

As predicted: some Christmasscards. The first card I made with my new (cheap :p) paper. I wanted an untraditional card. Instead of working with green and red, I chose to go for red-pink. Experimenting is allowed right?

Het tweede kaartje is ook niet met de normale kleuren, maar in het blauw. Je ziet het niet goed, maar de grote sneeuwvlok bevat bewegende elementen. Leuk om naar mensen met een kinderlijke geest te sturen! Handig als je halve vriendenkring in het onderwijs staat... :D Mijn scanner heeft evenwel voor een grote donkere vlek over mijn kaartje gezorgd (de sterretjes worden verondersteld zilver te zijn!), ik moet eens op zoek gaan naar de reden daarvan!

The second card too is not traditional coloured, this time I used blue. You don't see it very well, but the big snowflake in the middle contains some moving elements. Very good card to send to people with a childish mind! Usefull when half of you're friends are teachers... :D My scanner however created a huge dark spot over my card (the 3 stars in the corner are in fact silver!). Maybe I should take a look at it.

Purple Blues

Na het paarse verjaardagskaartje van mijn grootmoeder had ik even een "paarse periode". Het kaartje hieronder was het resultaat. Waarvoor ik het kaartje ga gebruiken weet ik nog niet.

After the purple birthdaycard for my grandmother I went through a "purple period". The card below was the result. What I'll use the card for, I don't know yet.

Grandmother's Birthday

Na mijn grootvader was nu ook mijn grootmoeder jarig. Ook hier wou ik een vrij eenvoudig kaartje maken, al kon ik nu vrijwel alle kleuren gebruiken. Ik koos voor... paars. Met de restjes die ik had versierde ik de binnenkant van de kaart.

After my grandfather it was my grandmother's birthday. Again I wanted to make a simple card, although this time I could use any colour I wanted. I chose... purple. With the left-overs I decorated the inside of the card.
